The Jungle Book CGI Effects - What’s Real?

The Jungle Book CGI Effects

CGI effects are a major part in the film’s production. Are any of them real?

Dear Sara –

I just saw Disney’s new version of THE JUNGLE BOOK. It looks amazing. Which animals were real, and which were? And where was it filmed?

Kind regards,

Ella C.

Dear Ella –

The entirety of the new JUNGLE BOOK was shot at a special effects studio in downtown Los Angeles. While many, many hours were spent studying and photographing real wild animals to replicate their looks and their movements, the only non-CGI actor in the film is young Neel Sethi, who plays Mowgli.
