What makes a movie Science Fiction??

Hardcore Henry is a video game movie, but is it also considered SciFi?

Hardcore Henry stars Sharlto Copley, Tim Roth, Haley Bennett.

I hear the new movie HARDCORE HENRY is like a first-person shooter video game. Is there a science fiction aspect to it as well, or is the novelty just the total run-and-gun experience?

Dear Emily –

HARDCORE HENRY has bioengineered soldiers and clones, so it definitely counts as science fiction. It also has telekinesis, so it counts as fantasy, too. However, between the fact that we don’t see the main character (except for one glimpse in a mirror), we never hear him (he’s mute) and we never find out much about him, you still may not want to see it.
