Dear Jessica –

While the Holy Grail is nowadays most closely associated with Arthurian lore (and of course MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL), it is variously believed to be a chalice used at the Last Supper and/or to catch Christ’s blood as he was on the Cross, or a huge stone, lapis exillis, that fell from Heaven and was the dwelling place of angels who had remained neutral in the war between the Almighty and Lucifer.
