Dear Sara,
I love the character of Lafayette Reynolds, played by Nelsan Ellis, on TRUE BLOOD. Is the character true to how he’s written in Charlaine Harris’ books?
Peace,
Maureen K.
Dear Maureen,
No, because Lafayette is killed in the second book in the series, LIVING DEAD IN DALLAS. Seeing what a wonderful job Ellis did with the role, the producers wisely kept him on and considerably expanded the part. Instead, Miss Jeanette, the fake psychic played by Aisha Hinds, is the character who dies on the show (Miss Jeanette does not exist in the books).
