Dear Sara,

How was Harry Potter rescued as a baby? How could Dumbledore and Hagrid know James and Lily Potter had been killed when it was Peter Pettigrew who was their Secret Keeper?

Hi Becky,

The Potters lived in Godric’s Hollow which is a wizard village. Bathilda Bagshot was a neighbor and I suppose a Death Eater attack led by Voldermort would be loud and flashy enough to alert the neighborhood. Someone could have sent a floo message or a Patronus notifying Dumbeldore immediately and he would have then dispatched Hagrid.

I always thought that since this was wartime and the Potters were prime targets someone would be checking up on them often. Maybe they were supposed to send and owl a day or something like that so when they didn’t check in someone would check up. Trouble is if Peter Pettigrew was their secret keeper how would anyone know where to find them?
