And Now a Word from our Blogger…

It is with many cheers and great appreciation I say a humble “thanks” to the upper management here at Buzzy Multimedia and BuzzyMag.com for allowing me this moment to make a little post about a project I am involved in.

As many of you already know, I blog for BuzzyMag.com and although I am a professional Vampirologist I am also a die-hard gamer-girl. Don’t believe me? Check out the number of gamer of blogs I’ve written. Not for nothing, they are pretty awesome.

I know I am prone to exaggerating for the sake of good storytelling but I really am married to game designer and president of Scaldcrow Games, T. Glenn Bane. He was the mad brilliance who came up with the Bare Bones Multiverse System, an RPG core mechanic that utilizes only 2d6. Not only is this game mechanic amazingly easy to learn but from personal experience I can tell you its quickly gaining popularity in the RPG community. I have read many e-mails from folks who tell us how they’ve converted their Champions, Dark Heresy, Pathfinder, and (with the use of our table-top rules) Tannhauser campaigns into our system.

Before I digress, let me get right to it: Scaldcrow Games has uploaded its very first Kickstarter, “Amazing Pulp Adventures.” This book is a complete campaign setting containing a description of the pulp-era world centralized in Sapphire City, a cast of heroes and villains alike, as well as a starting adventure which when played, will give players a feel for the world. The setting is based on the iTunes podcast written by author, Davey Beauchamp.

As a content editor, test player, and beta-reader for the project I can tell you this will be a fantastic book when complete—however, it will be even more awesome if we hit our Kickstarter goal. Scaldcrow plans on using the money to hire additional editors, copy editors, brilliant artists, and graphic designers to ensure we have a book everyone can be proud to not only own but lay claim to being part of the production and the creation of Sapphire City, the primary location featured in “Amazing Pulp Adventures.” Not to mention, there are very cool incentives offered at each level.

As an avid gamer, I am waiting with baited breath to hold a finished book in my hands for when I play in this diesel-fueled city of tomorrow! I know this project will be great but it can be so much better with your help. I am asking you to go and check out our Kickstarter page and see for yourself. Would a thousand dollar donation be wonderful? Heck yeah, and you would get a great big pile of wonderful stuff too! (Yes, we are shipping international.) But even a dollar donation would make me smile.
